“What if, pain, like love, is just a place, brave people visit?” I don’t know who said it first, But I do know it’s what shapes us all.

Thank you from all of us at Inked and the MusiCares Foundation for helping us provide health, financial, and rehabilitation resources to musicians in their time of need.

What was your first tattoo?

My Very first tattoo, is something that reminds me of where I am today, opposed to where I was then. (It’s my ex’s name in a drawing I did myself, on my a**, I know what you’re all thinking lol) we were together for 10 years, we lost a daughter together, we struggled together, and I struggled by myself when his alcoholism took over and replaced and took my Best friend and lover away from me. I will never regret it, because of it I have grown and my tattoo is a reminder of my strength.

Is it true that getting tattoos is addictive?

One word... YES! But really, it absolutely is. Every single one of my tattoos is a symbol of something I have overcame or something that has brought significant meaning into my life and has shaped me in someway or somehow. How can one not become addicted to expressing themselves uniquely , positive affirmations, self love, art, true beliefs, beauty, or whatever it may be that shapes your decisions in getting tattooed.

If you were voted Inked Magazine's cover girl, what would you do with $25,000?

Well, first off I would be honoured!! I’m a single mother of two really amazing young men (12&7). I do it all on my own including financially unfortunately, if I were to win the money it would help me and my little family incredibly (last year was tough). I would take my boys somewhere special, Pay off some of the debt I have from trying to do it all alone, donate to something meaningful ... and of course... I would put a little away for a new tattoo or two ??
