Thank you from all of us at Inked and the MusiCares Foundation for helping us provide health, financial, and rehabilitation resources to musicians in their time of need.

What was your first tattoo?

I bravely decided to get a tattoo when I was just 15 years old. The boy I was dating at the time informed me his friend just got out of prison and was doing tattoos, so I said, "hell yes, of course." I was there on a friend's couch getting a butterfly tattoo from an ex-convict, with hobby lobby ink, a guitar string, and a radio motor. It turned out really good, and I met a nice gentleman. I was lucky that I did not get an infection, so I do not recommend this teen rebellion moment. Haha

Is it true that getting tattoos is addictive?

A tattoo is a form of expression through art that is able to be seen on my body. I always knew I wanted many tattoos and the more I got the more I fell in love while finding it to be a healthy stress reliever as I used to self-harm. Scar cover-up artwork is so meaningful & means a lot to me and is beautiful and addicting all to its own. I also believe getting/having tattoos can be a coping mechanism for anyone who suffers from many types of mental disorders like anxiety or depression.

If you were voted Inked Magazine's cover girl, what would you do with $25,000?

This would be an amazing opportunity of a lifetime for me so I would like to use some of the funds towards helping me complete my social work degree to become a counselor for adolescents with mental disorders and behavioral problems. I've been working with foster children for the last 6 years and would like to use some of the funds to start fostering high-risk teens. If I have any left definitely more professional tattoos!!!
